The Gynecologic Oncology Department is the only department in Hebei Province that treats gynecological cancer with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In the past 30 years, our department has treated more than 15700 cases of malignant tumors in women with radiotherapy. The 5-year survival rate of cervical cancer is 67.2%, reaching the advanced level in China.
The Gynecologic Oncology Department was established in 1985, with 3 chief doctors, 3 deputy chief doctors, 4 attending doctors, 2 residents, 22 nurses, 2 technicians and 1 physicist. There are 42 beds in the ward, 159 patients in the hospital, the utilization rate of beds is about 350%, and more than 700 patients with gynecological tumor radiotherapy are admitted every year. There are 5 tutors, 10 postgraduates and 8 graduates in the Department. In 2015, fan Xiaomei won the second prize of science and technology progress in Hebei Province for her research on the application of pelvic tumor susceptibility and radiotherapy technology. Seven works were compiled. At present, 5 provincial and department level projects are approved.
Academically, Professor Li kuixiu is a member of the Standing Committee of the short distance treatment special committee of China Anti Cancer Association, the gynecological oncology professional committee of China Anti Cancer Association, the gynecological oncology expert group committee of China Clinical Oncology Association (CSCO), and the gynecological oncology prevention and Control Professional Committee of China maternal and Child Health Association. Niu Shuhuai is a member of the short distance treatment special committee of China Anti Cancer Association, fan Xiaomei is a member of the short distance treatment special committee of China Anti Cancer Association and a young member of the women's tumor special committee of China Anti Cancer Association.
Posts above Provincial Standing Committee members: Professor Li kuixiu served as the vice chairman of the tumor special committee of Hebei Medical Association, the Standing Committee of Hebei clinical oncology expert committee, the Standing Committee of cancer branch of Hebei Cancer Association, the Standing Committee of radiotherapy branch of Hebei Cancer Association, the Standing Committee of radiotherapy special committee of Hebei Medical Association, the Standing Committee of radiotherapy special committee of Hebei women medical association, and the Standing Committee of cancer branch of Hebei Preventive Medical Association. Professor Niu Shuhuai is the vice chairman of the cancer branch of Hebei Medical Association. Fan Xiaomei, associate professor, served as the vice leader of minimally invasive group of Hebei Medical Association.
In 2007, our department carried out external radiation conformal and intensity-modulated radiotherapy for gynecological tumors, which increased the local dose of tumors, reduced the radiation dose of normal tissues, increased the curative effect and reduced the side effects of radiotherapy. In March 2018, our department introduced the medical post installation machine to carry out the three-dimensional implantation and post installation treatment of gynecological tumors, so that some patients with intractable cervical cancer such as eccentric, huge, relapsed and metastasis can be treated in time and effectively. At the same time, we also carried out the self-made mold individualized implantation treatment of cervical cancer patients with vaginal and pelvic recurrence, and achieved good results. 3D printing mold is also used to guide the implantation of recurrent cervical cancer.
