Hepatobiliary surgery, the fourth hospital of Hebei Medical University, is the diagnosis and treatment center of hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors in Hebei Province, and the key discipline of Medical Science in Hebei Province. Our department is characterized by the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. We have rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, gallbladder cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, ampullary cancer, hepatohemangioma, portal hypertension, hepatocyst, pancreatic cyst, cholelithiasis, gallbladder polyp and other benign and malignant diseases.
At present, hepatobiliary surgery has two disease areas, the headquarters and the East Hospital, with more than 100 beds. Our department is a collective of devotion, unity and cooperation, practical innovation and dedication. At present, there are 22 doctors, including 4 chief doctors, 3 deputy chief doctors, 10 attending doctors and 5 resident doctors. Among them, there are 5 doctors and 16 masters.
Our department has electronic choledochoscopy, laparoscopy, microwave therapeutic apparatus, ultrasonic suction knife and other high-tech equipment. At present, the routine operations include pancreatoduodenectomy, radical resection of high bile duct cancer, resection of huge liver cancer, radical resection of gallbladder cancer and resection of recurrent liver cancer. It also has rich experience and good clinical effect in the treatment of acute severe pancreatitis, acute obstructive suppurative cholangitis, liver and spleen rupture. In the aspect of minimally invasive treatment of hepatobiliary surgical diseases, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic hepatectomy, laparoscopic pancreaticocaudal resection, laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy, laparoscopic radical resection of cholangiocarcinoma, etc. Mastering the technique of choledochoscopy, it can reduce the trauma and complications in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of biliary tract.
As a characteristic technology, our department carries out "comprehensive treatment of primary liver cancer mainly by operation" with more than 500 cases carried out every year, which prolongs the survival period of patients with liver cancer and improves the life treatment. In the field of scientific research, many scientific researches have been carried out on the mechanism of the occurrence and development of primary liver cancer, including: the mechanism of hypoxia inducible factor and vascular endothelial growth factor in promoting the invasion and metastasis of liver cancer, the role of hypoxia factor inhibitor in inhibiting the proliferation and promoting apoptosis of liver cancer cells, the relationship between the expression of heparanase and the invasion, metastasis and prognosis of liver cancer, etc Research, achieved the expected results and published a series of articles, and obtained a number of provincial and department level scientific research achievements awards. These basic research results are closely related to the clinical practice and provide a new way for the treatment of liver cancer.
In order to promote the development of hepatobiliary surgery in our province, our department has held several academic seminars in succession, such as the hepatocarcinoma Professional Committee of Hebei cancer association and the hepatocarcinoma Professional Committee of Hebei cancer prevention and Control Federation. The holding of these academic activities has strengthened academic exchanges with and outside the province, and promoted the good development of clinical and scientific research work by integrating their mutual advantages.
